Abstract Landscape, Mountain and Stream

You can't quite see it and then suddenly it's all there before you; the mountains peaks, the rocks, the trees and the reflections on the water. With quick heavy brush strokes in an almost fauvist style, our painter carves out rocks and pine trees and makes the water course by. Oil on canvas board, signed on the back "Nell Elmore, 1966." I picked it up at a flea in Marietta OH so this painting has never been outside of Appalachia but I think such raw energy and natural beauty should get a wider audience.
In excellent vintage condition in what may be the original frame. Measures 29" wide and 25" tall. If you'd rather have the image w/o the frame (image size 20"x 24"), please send me a message and I can adjust shipping price. Wired and ready to frame.
WEST COAST SHOPPERS: please note that shipping costs from where I am on the east coast to parts west have increased alarmingly so it is possible that actual shipping may cost more. Please message me to discuss. Thanks for looking!
