Adams Etruscan / Staffordshire, black glaze plate with women charioteers
$72.00
-
Detailsrare, early 20th century black glaze plate with gorgeous painted design of charioteers in emerald and crimson, urging on their galloping steeds. It's quite dramatic! Matte black glaze with a gilt rim. Marked on the back: The Adams EtruscanWare, England ESTD 1657. Measure 10.5" diameter. In good antique condition with minor paint loss and a hair line crack (very hard to see but it's below the hoof of the horse on the right, you can barely see it in one of the close up photos). Otherwise, this looks like it belongs in a museum.
