DetailsA delicate engraving of tender pink sweet peas and airy ferns in an ikebana arrangement. I love the cool blue of the water in the glass dish and the barely visible kenzan holding the flowers. A notation on the back lists a date of 1937. A striking example of the Japanese love of nature and their ability to capture the ethereal.
In good vintage condition with very small and minor discoloration in the bottom left corner of the image. Framed (plain black wood) and ready to hang with a beveled matboard. Measures 11.75" tall and 9" wide. -
