Art
Mid Century Portrait of a Man, Water Color
$95.00
-
DetailsWhy do I get the feeling that we should be grateful that this intense man is not fixing us in his full gaze? Seems to me it would be a soul-baring look if he ever did turn our way. Are his eyes piercing or brimming with tears? It's hard to say but the unknown artist really captured the enigma of this bearded man in a cloak.
Watercolor, and possibly marker, on paper. Framed but without glass. Paper is warping just a bit (you can see in second to last photo) so buyer may want to consider re-framing or adding glass to this frame to be preserve this dramatic piece of art.
Measures just over 27" tall and 19" wide. In very good vintage condition. Wired for hanging.
WEST COAST SHOPPERS: please note that shipping costs from where I am on the east coast to parts west have increased alarmingly so it is possible that actual shipping may cost more. Please message me to discuss. Thanks for looking! -
