DetailsA pair of Myna birds enjoy a summer day full of roses. From "Album of Flowers and Birds, (Bairei kacho gafu)," first published in 1883 by the artist Kono Bairei (1844 - 1895). This is possibly from a later printing. I love the empty cage in the background, underlining the thrill of their new freedom.
In very good vintage condition. The print colors are much more vivid than my camera phone can capture. Height: 19" tall and 14" wide. In a vintage black and gold faux bamboo frame with some scuff that only add to the antique feel. Ready to hang. -
